This directive partially supersedes AR 70–1 and redesignates the Deputy
for Medical Systems for the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics,
and Technology (ASA (ALT)ASA (ALT)Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology).

The provisions of this directive apply to the Regular Army, Army
National Guard/Army National Guard of the United States, and U.S. Army Reserve.
